Thumbs Down to Zorina Corporation for trying to demolish the facade of the old central fire station downtown. Dallas’ Landmark Committee bent over backwards to study all sides of the case. November 22, Zorina corporation decided to play hard ball with the city and sent a telegram indicating that without written instructions indicating otherwise, the demolition of the historic facade would begin immediately. By December 1, a temporary injunction precluding the demolition had been issued. A hearing for the continuance of the injunction is set for January 5.
